On Friday 17 October 2025, in the presence of the Commanding General of the 1st ARMY/EU-ΟHQ “ACHILLEAS” Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos, as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Dimitrios Choupis and the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the oath-taking ceremony of the first-year students – Class 2028, took place in Trikala at the Hellenic NCOs Academy.

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Metropolitan Bishop of Trikki, Gardiki and Pyli Mr Chrysostomos, who officiated the Ceremony, the Honorary Chief of the National Guard General Staff Lieutenant General (ret.) Dimokritos Zervakis, the Brigadier General (Pilot) Pantelis Kovlatzis as representative of the Chief of HAFGS Lieutenant General (Pilot) Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, Commodore Christos Athanasiou as representative of the Chief of HNGS Vice Admiral Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras (HN), the Director of HAGS/Military Training Directorate Major General Anastasios Dimoulas, representatives of the Local Self-government, active and retired Officers of the Armed and Security Forces, relatives of the oath-taking first-year students and other guests.

A total of 144 first-year students took the oath, of whom 102 were from Greece, 40 from Cyprus and 2 from Georgia.
