Brigadier Georgios Papageorgiou
On March 20, 2024, I took charge of one of the two military schools of the Army, the Non-Commissioned Officer Army Academy (NCO’s), as decided by the Supreme Military Council.
The Academy’s mission is to train non-Commissioned officers, capable of responding efficiently to modern military challenges. In order to achieve this aim, ethos, professional education, discipline and diligence are required.
The military Academy constitutes a source of virtue, for the candidates, providing them with the necessary professional skills in order to face the challenges of the modern military way of life.
Dedication to military duties, respect for the individual cultivation of the military spirit and human – centered leadership are, fundamentals. Academic education in conjunction with military training, comprise the major components in order to achieve for the Academy higher education standards.
The military Academy in its current status, complies with the military traditions, while facing the future with optimism. With respect for the ideals of our Nation, our Academy generates new Army leaders, while inspiring them to embrace values, such as the love and selfless commitment to our Country.
I strongly believe that our military Academy will continue to generate well-trained non-Commissioned officers, qualified to deal with the challenges of the modern national and multinational environment, so as to serve effectively the Hellenic Army.
