Brigadier Ioannis Korelis
On March 16th of 2023, I took charge of one of the two military training schools of the Army, the permanent non-commissioned officers military school, as had been decided by the Supreme Military Council. The school aims at training permanent sergeants to become members of the Greek Army, making them capable of taking over military operations. Morals, cooperation, initiative during missions, innovative thought, the spirit of the team and diligent discipline are among the basic conditions for becoming a permanent sergeant of the Greek Army.
Firstly, the School constitutes a source of virtue and provides trainees all the necessary knowledge to cope with a contemporary and multifaceted military life.
Trainees will have the opportunity to take command of our national territory, aiming at protecting it by deploying every available mean. Great HONOUR and great RESPONSIBILITY. This is where the mission of the school is focused on, to provide the Greek army competent staff, capable of taking on this responsibility successfully by having a winner attitude, and the final desired part, the victory of the Greek armed forces.
The primary role in the school is the hard work, professionalism, enthusiasm, devotion to military duty, respect towards personality, work, responsibility, always within a human-centred command and leadership framework.
Τhe military virtues of bravery, patience, patriotism and of military spirit and discipline should be cultivated by all.
It goes without saying that discipline, the great duty of responsibility, the devotion to the military work guarantee the retention of the School’s high standards.
I can assure that the school will continue to provide the Greek Army with permanent sergeants capable of coping with the challenges of the military operations reality efficiently and ensuring the safety of the Greek people.
