Non-Commissioned Officers’ Academy

The First NCOs Academy was founded on April 9, 1884 in Corfu, as a Pre-paratory School for Non-Commissioned Officers. Since then, it has been relocated to four different major Greek cities, including Patra, where in 1951 it was renamed to Non-Commissioned Officers Academy.

In 1953, it was relocated to the island of Syros, in 1957, to the island of Samos and since 1975, it has been stationed in the city of Trikala, Thessaly, Central Greece.

The cadets are admitted in the Academy through National Exams and after three years of successful academic and military training, they graduate as Non – Commissioned Officers and follow a remarkable career in the Hellenic Army.
